  • Similar copy - length and tone

  • The same lighting and background

The Results

  • 47%+ decrease in views vs reels made for Instagram

  • 0 shares

  • 0 saves

  • 0 Likes

  • A grand total of 8 views (1 of them came from us)

So if you’ve experienced this, it’s NOT you, it’s them. If you are posting videos created on another platform, it could be leading to a decrease in engagement and here’s why. Instagram deprioritized content that is created on other platforms because they are competing for market share specifically with platforms like TikTok. The platforms can trace back where the content was created i.e. that’s why both platforms automatically put a watermarked logo that floats around the screen on reposted videos. They want viewers to see where it was made and jump ship.
